Youth leader hails Senator Nwoye for infrastructural development in Ukpo
A community youth leader and Dunukofia youth Mayor, Honourable Cornel Ilokolobia, has commended the lawmaker representing Anambra North Senatorial District at the national assembly, Senator Tony Nwoye for attracting infrastructural developments to Ukpo-Dunukofia local government area.
Ukpo-Dunukofia is the hometown of Nigeria’s oil magnet, Prince Engr Arthur Eze.
Cornel Ilokolobia, a critic of Senator Tony Nwoye, made the remarks at the weekend in Ukpo.
He said, “Senator Tony Nwoye has demonstrated uncommon loyalty and support. I have always criticized him but this time around the legislator shocked everyone including myself.
“Senator Tony Nwoye is a true friend of Prince Engr Arthur Eze and a worthy ally of our people. He truly respects relationships and honours the man who has always stood by him. If one tenth of Prince Engr Arthur Eze’s friends will emulate Tony Nwoye, Anambra State will be a shining star in six months”.
Hon Cornel Ilokolobia, who was APC candidate for State House of Assembly in the last general election, listed some of the projects attracted to Ukpo by the Labour Party lawmaker to include, construction of Zone 13 headquarters link road, an off shoot of Enugu/Onitsha Expressway, Erosion control behind Zone 13 headquarters, Dunukofia Palace road adjunct to Abagana, Street Lightings of the entire Ukpo community, Medical outreach among others.
“Senator Tony Nwoye has honoured Prince Engr Arthur Eze and Ukpo community. God and humanity will surely honour him. Ukpo and Dunukofia youths will surely reciprocate this great show of love.
“We have heard of his human capacity building programs for our youth and women. We are glad he is building infrastructure and empowering humans too”, Ilokolobia added.
