The rising profile of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in Anambra political firmament, courtesy of the drive and vision of the man that I call the idea bearer, is not in any way surprising to astute political watchers in this clime .
The Prince of the Senate has remained faithful and fully committed to the party despite overtures from both the ruling party APC and the main opposition party (PDP) to decamp and join them .
While other politicians go in search of parties they can use their structures to gain smooth ride into political offices and probably abandon them after, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah has chosen to remain committed to his vision and ideology of providing a fresh youth driven platform.
This is a paradigm shift and a vessel that the youths can key into and use in triggering the much elusive change that the entire country is desperately yearning for. .
Little surprise therefore that today, the Young Progressives Party (YPP) is now home to several young persons in Anambra and other neighbouring states in the South East aspiring for the party tickets in order to bring to reality their various ideas on triggering developmental changes if voted into office by the people. This is indeed an ongoing process that gives so much joy to the Distinguished Senator.
“My vision is to create an army of like minds using the YPP platform , who will join forces with me to trigger the much desired paradigm shift and the humanity based infrastructural development that our people earnestly yearn for ” Senator Ubah says .
Indeed the movement is gathering massive momentum and the Young Progressives Party (YPP) has become a party to watch out for in the upcoming polls for the Federal and State Houses Of Assembly.
