With zero Covid19 case in Anambra, the State seems battle ready to fight the pandemic to a halt as the state government showcases the first batch of doctors trained by the Ministry of Health in collaboration with World Health Organisation [WHO] and European Union [EU] on COVID-19 case management.

Governor Willie Obiano-led government claims the welfare and wellbeing of Anambra residents is its number one priority.

The state government released photo of the trained doctors and assured it is doing its best to ensure that the state residents are safe from Coronavirus.

It also assured that it is prepared to tackle the deadly pandemics despite the fact that as at today Anambra does not have a single COVID-19 pandemics case.

According to one of his numerous aides, the duty of this trained doctors is to handle a confirmed COVID-19 pandemics case in the Isolation Centres in the state.

Recently, Chief Obiano announced the readiness of 16-bed Isolation Centre at the General Hospital in Onitsha, Anambra State.

He also announced other centres at the National Youth Service Corps [NYSC] Orientation Camp, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital [NAUTH] in Nnewi and Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital [COOUTH] in Awka.

He assured that the centers will have all needed equipment on completion.

Meanwhile, several other well-meaning, spirited individuals have joined the fray in preparing the state for any Covid19 eventuality.

One such individual is the senator representing Anambra South District at the National Assembly, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, who has galvanised  fellow business men in from the state to action.

Their effort has seen billions of Naira made available for facilities and equipments against the pandemic.

Land was also made available for the permanent site of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital [NAUTH] in Nnewi.

Commenting on the effort made so far, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah said:

“All around the world, people are taking necessary precautions to protect themselves and their families from coronavirus. I am inspired to see communities, our nation and the world coming together to fight this pandemic.”
