Mr Jacob Wodi Hulobu, a resident pastor of Living Faith Church, Aloko-Oganenigwu in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State was reportedly killed by the gunmen, who attacked the town on Sunday.
The pastor was said to escaped with some of his members to a safer area when the gunmen struck during the early morning service.
According to one of his members identified as Samuel, the pastor went back to check the situation of things in the church when unfortunately the criminal elements shot and killed him.
“He escaped during church service in the morning. He thought everything was calm and went back to check if the church was touched when he was killed,” said Samuel.
News Band gathered that the pastor, who had earlier posted on his Facebook account how he escaped the morning attack, died a few hours later.
