Wike slams revocation of CofO on 77y.o. ex-AGF Kanu Agabi’s property in Abuja
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has revoked the Certificate of Occupancy (CofO) of a former Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice of the federation, Mr. Kanu Godwin Agabi, SAN, who is currently 77 years old.
Kanu Agabi, it could be recalled, is a Nigerian lawyer and politician who was a Senator and was twice Attorney General during the presidency of Olusegun Obasanjo.
He was appointed a Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 1997 and in the April 1999 elections, ran for governor of Cross River State, but lost.
It is not immediately clear why Minister Wike revoked Agabi’s property located in Asokoro, Abuja, but the display of the notice of revocation, which was signed by the Deeds Registrar, Umar Sayyadi, on behalf of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, was conspicuously placed at the property in Asokoro, Abuja.
See below the notice of revocation nailed on a signpost in the property belonging to the former Attorney-General of the Federation:
