Where is Abia State PDP governorship candidate?

There is a serious problem in Abia State Peoples Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) currently. The party is campaigning without a guber candidate. The PDP governorship candidate in Abia state, Prof Uchenna Ikonne has not been seen in the public since November 24, 20022.
The guber candidate, who is 70 years old, reportedly slumped during his campaign flag off on November 24, 2022 and was rushed out of the campaign ground. Since then, he has not been seen in public.
It was alleged that the old man suffered a stroke and is currently bedridden.
Few days ago, the governor who dragged the old man into politics and gave him the party’s governorship ticket in a radio program at Umuahia admitted that Prof Ikonne is sick.
Presently, Prof Ikonne cannot withdraw from the race, therefore PDP cannot substitute him. It is believed that if he didn’t recover before March 11, and appears in campaigns, the people of Abia state will vote for another party.
