Villain plays victim as Wike provides punchlines for opposition APC presidential campaign jingles

Yesterday, I was at a friend’s office for some business discussions when we suddenly realized that HE Ezenwo Nyesom Wike was addressing a live Press Interview. My host and I abandoned our business discussions for two hours to get entertained on National Television.
My host, who is sympathetic to Omoyele Sowore of SaharaReporters presidential campaign was desperate to discover the new crimes of the PDP against Wike.
After the two hours of the broadcast, my host and I concluded that the live Press Briefing was for either two reasons or both. They are:
a. To play down the Supreme Court Judgment of the PDP Zoning an hour before the broadcast, and/or,
b. To provide campaign punchlines for the APC Presidential Campaign jingles against the PDP.
HE Ezenwo Nyesom Wike in the last seven years has played visible roles in the removal and installations of at least four National Chairmen of the PDP including the incumbent, Senator Ayu. He is not just a Lawyer. He is also a Bencher.
He knows more than most members of the PDP the procedures for the removal of the National Chairman.
As a matter of fact, Wike has never denied the belief in the public domain that he, in connivance with the former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose foisted HE Ali Modu Sherrif on the PDP.
The Ngala LGA-born former Governor of Borno State and founding member of the APC recently confessed that he was not even a member of the PDP when he was drafted and crowned the National Chairman of the Party. Only the “important Governor” like Wike can achieve that feat in Nigeria.
Again, HE Wike did not only lead the efforts in the removal of Sherrif, the Federal Government College Enugu graduate, HE Ahmed Makarfi was anointed as the National Caretaker Chairman of the PDP at the Bricks House, Port Harcourt.
Furthermore, few days to the PDP National Convention, Wike unveiled the Port Harcourt Boy, Uche Secondus as the successor to Senator Makarfi. He was also believed to have authored the “UNITY LIST” which contained all the members of the Secondus-led NWC of the PDP.
When it became obvious that the Brick House wanted the Secondus team out of the WADATA House, the National Chairman was suspended in his Ward, and Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt validated the removal.
So, Secondus was not allowed to complete his tenure and even his second term was denied of him and all other members of the NWC as all the positions in the South were flipped over to the North and vice versa.
Of course, rumour on how the Governor of Benue State, HE Samuel Ortom, a close confidant of Wike secured the support of Wike for the former Senate President to emerge as the National Chairman has not been denied.
So, the National broadcast was never an effort at removing Senator Ayu as the National Chairman. Wike is versed in that and Governor Ortom is still his dependable ally. Why has he not applied the same method he used in removing Secondus through the Ward in Benue where Ortom is the emperor? Have they not applied?

How did he even take the promise of resignation by Ayu seriously as the same Ayu granted an interview to Arise Television promising to resign if a northern candidate emerges, and the Party demands that he resigns? So far, the Party has passed a Vote of Confidence on Ayu and his team through the NEC of the Party.
Even when Makinde made the call on behalf of the South West, the leadership of the Party in Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, and Osun distanced themselves from that.
Therefore, the entire hogwash is not and never about the removal of Senator Ayu as the National Chairman of the PDP. It is becoming clearer that the intentions and purpose are for the provision of campaign jingles for the APC.
Asiwaju, the Presidential Candidate of the APC is a veteran and very good at getting his recruits to work within their parties. The PDP stories in Lagos are there for everyone to see.
Recently, the Labour Party supporters in Lagos are crying wolf against the State Chairman and some supposed Stakeholders of the Party in the State.
The PDP Presidential Candidate is reputed to be a unifier. The Wike project seems to target at the destruction of that reputation.
We are watching as the entire scripts are getting played out. But in all, we know that Wike is not a victim in the PDP as he is making the world to believe with his recent despicable macabre dance. Read more.
