This medium reported on Tuesday that the controversial singer was arrested by the police in Lagos state for refusing to pay the debt he incurred when he bought G-Wagon from a car dealer in the state.
Mr Portable, during the purchase of the exotic vehicle worth N27m, reportedly paid only N13m and had refused to balance up the remaining N14m.
After waiting for a while without any word concerning his balance, the dealer reached out to the singer who claimed the car he purchased had faults.
The dealer then asked the singer to return the car or pay the balance but Portable allegedly refused.
Following a petition from the dealer, the police moved in and arrested the singer.
A video of the incident showed Portable scaling a fence to evade arrest, but he was chased down by the gallant operatives and bundled into a waiting car.
The spokesman of the command in Lagos State, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed that Portable had been taken into custody.
He said, “Yes, Portable has been arrested. He bought G-Wagon for N27m, paid N13m and refused to pay the rest, claiming the vehicle was bad. We arrested him today.”
