Beta Edu, the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, was on Monday afternoon bounced out of the presidential villa when she attempted to see President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja.

This is coming after President Bola Tinubu announced Edu’s suspension from office earlier today.

President Tinubu also directed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to conduct a thorough investigation into all aspects of the financial transactions involving the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, as well as one or more agencies thereunder.

Meanwhile, in a viral video sighted by this medium, Edu was seen being asked to leave the presidential villa by security operatives.

NewsBand had reported that Beta Edu in the last three days have been in the eye of the storm after she requested the payment of N585.189 million grant meant for vulnerable groups in Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Ogun and Lagos States into a private account.
