VIDEO: Lord’s Chosen members among victims of Ebonyi carnage
Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries members were among the people slaughtered by Fulani herdsmen in Amagu village, Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The unfortunate incident was carried out on Sunday when most of the residents had gone to church for Sunday service and others went to their farms.
In a video sighted by News Band, about two members of Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries who were seen on the floor with their signature apron, were butchered by the armed hoodlums.
The incident is believed to be a reprisal following the killing of some cattle belonging to the herders in the area.
“We did not kill their cows. The cows were killed by members of the IPOB’s Eastern Security Network in the forest,” said a source who informed this paper that a Pentecostal pastor was among those killed in the attack.
Meanwhile, the police spokesman in Ebonyi, Joshua Ukandu, confirmed on Sunday that 10 people were killed in the attack.
“Several houses were also burnt selectively in the area and other properties destroyed,” said Ukandu.
The police image maker said the police quickly drafted operatives to the area when they received information on the attack and that normalcy has returned to the area

The Political Wing of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, has vehemently condemned the brutal attack by terror herdsmen at Amagu Nkalagha Ishielu in Ebonyi State which resulted in the unfortunate death of 16 villagers and razing of dozens of homes.
The unfortunate incident was carried out on Sunday when most of the residents had gone to church for Sunday service and others gone to their farms
Yam bans were razed to the ground, with the people of the community now displaced and facing hunger.
But IPOB-PW reacting in a statement issued by it’s spokesman, Nwachukwu Emereonye, described the attack as “despicable and wicked”.
The group called on the executive Governor of the Ebonyi State, Mr. Francis Nwifuru to smoke out the criminals responsible for the carnage and make sure they face the consequences of their actions.
The statement, “We condemn the attack by marauding herdsmen
“This is totally unacceptable and the perpetrators of this heinous crime must not be allowed to go scot-free.
“Whoever they are, wherever they are, the State government must go after them and make them account for their deadly mission.
“Our hearts are full of sorrow and pain that our men and women were cut short in their prime for no fault of theirs, except the fact that they are citizens of the entity called Nigeria.
“Never again shall the blood of our people be spilled and the perpetrators will be allowed to roam the streets; the police must go after them and ensure justice for the families of the victims.”
“Going further, we wish to remind the governor that insecurity in Southeast began under the guise of fighting Fulani killers.
“We urge the governor and the federal government to show seriousness in arresting the perpetrators of this massacre.
“We IPOB-PW cannot control or influence the youths to toe a political or peaceful path if the government of Nigeria fails to apprehend the terrorists and their sponsors.
“While we work for a peaceful Southeast, the government must do their part to help settle whatsoever that would trigger further violence, and discourage non-state actors from taking laws into their hands or criminals hiding under the guise of fighting those Fulani terrorists because the government failed.
However, IPOB-PW urged the affected community not to take laws into their own hands, urging them to allow the State government to deal with the situation decisively.
“We call on the community to be patient as we are confident that the government will confront the menace and bring the perpetrators to justice.”
