Operatives from the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) neutralized two bandits today, January 11, 2025, in Bilbis, Zamfara State.

This confrontation happened during the bustling weekly market, emphasizing the ongoing security challenges in Zamfara State.

Intelligence sources Zagazola Magama on his post on X reported that the CJTF intercepted the bandits, sparking a fierce confrontation that led to their elimination.

In addition to neutralizing the threat, the operatives seized two Honda motorcycles used by the criminals, further disrupting their operations.

However, the situation quickly escalated after the CJTF returned to their base. Following their departure, a group of bandits launched a retaliatory attack on the town, firing sporadically to instill chaos and panic among the residents.

The sudden outbreak of violence prompted military personnel to deploy to Bilbis, aiming to restore order and safety.

Currently, the military conducts operations in Bilbis, where two neutralized bandits’ bodies remain, preventing further attacks. Local residents must stay vigilant as authorities work to stabilize the situation and protect lives and property.
