Troops nab suspected Boko Haram terrorist in Borno

Troops of the 115 Task Force Battalion of the Nigerian Army deployed in Askira Uba, Borno State, have arrested another Boko Haram suspect identified as Muhammed Jibrin, during condone and search operations.

The arrest comes weeks after troops eliminated eight fighters of the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) and Boko Haram terrorists during a raid of a “notorious enclave” in the Sambisa forest in Borno.

Meanwhile, it was gathered that during the search operation, all occupants of the community had come out for the condoned search while the suspect was found hiding.

The suspect was immediately handed over to the military intelligence unit for investigation.

Borno State has over the years become the epicenter of the Boko Haram insurgency in the country.

Despite efforts made by the past and present governments to wipe out the criminal elements, they have continued to wax strong in the Northern region.
