Despite attempt to suppress ‘All Eyes On The Judiciary’ advertisement by President Bola Tinubu-led administration, Nigerians have devised another means of sending a warning message to the five-member panel of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal headed by Justice Haruna Tsammani.

NewsBand reports that the federal government of Nigeria on Tuesday suspended two top officials of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria—ARCON for approving the ‘All Eyes On The Judiciary’ billboard advertisement.

It also dissolved the Secretariat of the Advertising Standard Panel—ASP on Tuesday over the dust raised by the advert.

Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo, Director-General of ARCON who announced the suspension of the top officials said the advertisement is considered blackmail against the Nigerian Judiciary, the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, and particularly the Honourable Justices of the Tribunal who are expected to discharge their judicial functions without fear or favour over a matter that is pending in the court.

He subsequently ordered the immediate destruction of the the advert nationwide.

“The concept exposed were not approved by the Advertising Standards Panel, hence, the Council has directed that all materials being exposed be brought down immediately and the violators’ sanctioned,” the statement reads.

But resilient Nigerians have devised another means of telling the judiciary that their eyes are completely on them as they anxiously wait for the final judgement in the suit filed by the presidential candidate of the Labour Party–LP, Mr Peter Obi and his PDP counterpart, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar challenging the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the last election.

NewsBand observed that in the streets of Lagos, Abuja, Rivers and other major cities across the federation, people were seen wearing ‘All Eyes On The Judiciary’ T-shirts
