A boat accident claimed the lives of six individuals while nine others were rescued.

They include Dadi Mallam Dotti (30), Mubarak Abdu (21), Bappa Mallam Dotti (20), Adamu Yayagardi (30), and one Madugu (22).
Additionally, the sixth victim, Umar Gambo (34), was from Zaura Ward in Damban Local Government Area of Bauchi State and belonged to the Karakare ethnic group.
Currently, the driver of the boat is at large, prompting authorities to work diligently to locate him.
Police sources revealed that initial investigations are underway to determine the cause of this tragic mishap.
