The Gombe State Coordinator, Shettima/Tinubu Campaign Council, Jamilu Gwamna, has said he did not threaten mothers in the state that they would lose their children should they vote for the Peoples Democratic Party in next Saturday’s elections.

Gwamna made this disclosure during a press conference in Gombe while refuting allegations by the PDP campaign office spokesman, Ayuba Aluke, that he threatened parents in Bolari West over votes.

According to Gwamna, the opposition PDP has shown desperation overtime, stressing that he would not wish any Gombe person death because of any pursuit.

Gwamna said, “I went to canvass votes for my party ahead of the forthcoming governorship election. It is an area I’m proud of and a street that is dear to my heart. I went to gather people to seek for their support for my party. I said people should come out and vote for Governor Inuwa. It was a passionate appeal, there was no where I mentioned that someone’s mother would give birth to another child.

“Last time, the Peoples Democratic Party brought alot of thugs to that area. We only warned them that this time around those area boys should not dare do that because anyone who comes near the ballot box that day we are going to remove him and I used the expression in Hausa. But they now misinterpreted that to mean that they are going to be killed. That is not so.”
