Thugs allegedly loyal to gov Bello attack Senator Isah Jibrin in Kogi govt house
The former Senator representing Kogi East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Mr Jibrin Isah-Echocho, was on Tuesday attacked by political thugs said to be loyal to governor Yahaya Bello.
The unfortunate incident NewsBand gathered, occurred within the premises of the Government House, where Senator Echocho, alongside with Senator Karimu and other Federal House of Representatives members, had gone to pay homage to the governor.
The attackers singled out Echocho, subjecting him to physical assault and verbal abuse, accusing him of betrayal and ingratitude.
This medium gathered that the assailants lambasted the senator for not adhering to governor Bello’s directives during the last Kogi state gubernatorial elections.
Also, security operatives who were present during the attack reportedly did nothing to save the lawmaker.
