President Muhammadu Buhari has occupied the position of the Minister of Petroleum Resources of Nigeria for 8 years since coming to power in May 2015. His litany of failures that he is notorious for as a global example of what a leader is not meant to be includes miserably unable to make the four state-owned refineries work in his 8 years as the Number One Citizen of the country, thereby continuing with the corruption-prone importation of petroleum products and fuel subsidy regime.
Today, Monday 22 May, 2023, Buhari will be leading other protagonists of the Nigeria’s Runners Generation, who underdeveloped the country in the last 40 years (1983 – 2023) to commission Dangote Refinery. A huge proportion of the generation that destroyed Nigeria will be falling over themselves to be identified with Aliko Dangote’s trail-blazing achievements in the oil and gas industry. What a selfish, wicked, shameless and irresponsible generation of politicians!
We CANNOT CONTINUE like this. We urgently need a New Generation of altruistic leaders who will translate the formidable potentials of the Federal Republic of Nigeria into developmental achievements capable of positioning us among the Super Powers of the world in the next 20 years, May 2023 – May 2043.
