A Catholic Priest, Reverend Father Vesuwe Benjamin, was stunned beyond measure when soldiers stormed his church in search of weapons in Benue State on Friday.
Reverend father Vesuwe works at Catholic Diocese of Gboko, Benue State.
The action by army operatives is coming few days after some Fulani herdsmen attacked and killed two Catholic Priests as well as other parishioners numbering 17
Relating his ordeal, He said: “Today my house and the entire parish was turned inside out by the military in-search for weapons.”

Meanwhile, the united body of Catholic Priests in West Africa has joined the growing calls for the immediate resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari especially with the daily rising killings, insecurity and mutual mistrust in virtually all parts of the country by the Miyetti-Allah backed Fulani herdsmen.
The call came on the heels of a similar call by the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria.
The regional body of Catholic Priests wondered how and when this high level of barbarism and wanton killings would end.
They therefore urged for tougher sanctions and punishment for the seeming elusive yet ubiquitous killer-culprits.
