The president of the Nigerian Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has denied reports he escaped lynching by a mob in his own state, Kwara.

Saraki was reportedly on official visit in lafiagi when suddenly a mob pounced on him.

But denying the report first posted on Twitter, the Senate President’s media office told ElombahNews: “Nothing like that happened. He was in the State last week and no incident happened at all.”

The community he visited in Kwara welcomed him and he even observed jumat service there .

Above “are the pictures taken in Lafiagi or is it possible to be stoned and still wait in the community to observe jumat service.”

It could be recalled that Saraki was Kwara State governor for an eight-year two tenures.

Speaking to Elombah News this morning, Mr Yusuf Olaniyonu, Saraki”s media aide stated:

“You know as 2019 is getting closer, there are people in Abuja and Kwara who think that his CCT trial and the onslaught from the Presidency provide the right atmosphere to finally wrest control of the state from him.”

“The social media is a veritable instrument for people to dish out falsehood about their target. In Kwara, others apart from Saraki are seasonal politicians”, Mr Olaniyonu said.
