The freshly commissioned “Nigeria Air” Boeing 737 has reportedly returned to its usual Addis Ababa- Mogadishu route after allegedly hoodwinking Nigerians.

Recall that the immediate past President Muhammadu administration had “commissioned” the “Nigerian Air” in the twilight of the administration.

The Minister for Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, who was seen in a picture with some officials, had announced the commissioning of the aircraft hours before the expiration of the Buhari tenure.

Popular investigative journalist, David Hundeyin, however, reported that the airline is a scam and that the Nigerian Government had never acquired any aircraft for the Nigeria Air airline.

According to Mr. Hundeyin, the immediate past President Muhammadu administration had “hired” the “Nigerian Air” aircraft from Ethiopian Airline to support its claim of launching the airline before the expiration of its tenure.

He noted, however, that the aircraft completed its eye service work and Buhari returned it to Ethiopian Airline where they borrowed it from.

Hundeyin tweeted on his Twitter handle, @DavidHundeyin:

“The “Nigeria Air” Boeing 737-800 has had its hurried wrap job removed and is now back in regular service for @flyethiopian on its usual Addis Ababa- Mogadishu route – the same route it flew as recently as last week before being “commissioned” in Abuja by @hadisirika.”

Again he tweeted:

“Behold your freshly commissioned “Nigeria Air” Boeing 737 heading back to Addis Ababa right now as we speak, where the hurried paint job will be removed and it will go back into @flyethiopian regular service. Job done for @hadisirika.”

The Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) of the aircraft showed that it left Addis Ababa on May 26 by 09:55 AM and landed Abuja same day at 12:43 PM.

It then afterwards left Abuja around 19:05 PM on May 27 and landed Addis Ababa by 01:35 AM on May 28.
