Sanwo-Olu host French Ambassador to Nigeria at Lagos House

On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu welcomed Ambassador Marc Fonbaustier of France to Nigeria.

They met at the Lagos House, Marina, where the governor presented a plaque to the ambassador.

This gesture symbolized the strengthening ties between Lagos State and France.During the visit, Governor Sanwo-Olu and Ambassador Fonbaustier exchanged warm greetings.

Mr. Laurent Favier, the Consul General of France in Lagos, was present, observing the friendly interaction.

The discussion focused on enhancing cooperation between Nigeria and France in various sectors.

The governor was joined by several key officials during the meeting.

Among them were Dr. Sonia Darracq, the French Embassy’s Regional Counsellor for Agriculture, and Ms. Abisola Olusanya, the Commissioner for Agriculture.

They all engaged in fruitful discussions regarding agricultural partnerships.

In attendance, Dr. Rotimi Fashola, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Agriculture, also contributed to the dialogue.

Moreover, Chief of Staff Mr. Tayo Ayinde was present, highlighting the importance of this diplomatic engagement.
