Rep. Aminu Sani Jaji has dismissed recent allegations of anti-party activities as baseless, reaffirming his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its leadership.
Responding to accusations from a group named the Committee of Concerned Elders for Peace in the APC North-West, he labeled the claims “highly mischievous” through his media aide, Mohammed Umar.
Jaji emphasized his unwavering commitment to Senator Abdulaziz Yari, whom he described as a respected mentor.
“I served under Senator Yari and hold him in high esteem; I would never undermine his interests,” he asserted.
The lawmaker clarified he remains a dedicated APC member, rejecting claims of disloyalty.
“He has never sponsored attacks against the party or disrespected its leaders,” the statement read.
Jaji suggested the allegations stem from political rivals threatened by his rising influence in Zamfara State.
“Certain individuals losing relevance are spreading falsehoods to destabilize the party and turn people against me,” he declared.
He urged detractors to cease exploiting Senator Yari’s name for personal agendas, emphasizing the need for unity.
Highlighting his contributions, Jaji referenced his role as Director General of Contact and Mobilization for the Tinubu/Shettima campaign in the North-West.
“My efforts directly supported the APC’s electoral success,” he noted.
“The statement accused a critic of diverting federal resources, claiming 20 trucks of Zamfara’s rice went missing.
“He criticized the APC while in the PDP but sought my protection after others rejected him.”
Additionally, Jaji demanded transparency, urging accusers to reveal their identities publicly instead of hiding behind anonymous groups.”
He reiterated his focus on legislative duties and service to constituents.
“My bond with Senator Yari remains unbreakable despite these fabricated stories,” he affirmed.
The lawmaker vowed to continue advocating for Zamfara’s development, urging stakeholders to prioritize governance over divisive politics.
Amid ongoing tensions, Jaji’s rebuttal underscores his determination to uphold party unity while dismissing distractions.
He positioned himself as a target of envy, framing the controversy as a ploy to undermine his credibility.
By linking accusers to past misconduct, he aimed to shift scrutiny onto their motives.
The statement’s forceful tone reflects his confidence in disproving the allegations, portraying them as desperate acts by fading political actors.
Ultimately, Jaji’s response seeks to reassure supporters and reaffirm his standing within the APC.
His emphasis on loyalty, combined with counteraccusations against critics, aims to neutralize the narrative.
As Zamfara’s political landscape evolves, this clash highlights internal rivalries shaping the region’s dynamics.
By defying norms, Jaji confronts challenges directly, demonstrating unwavering determination amid political pressures.
Simultaneously, he navigates tensions between party loyalty and constituent demands, actively reshaping leadership expectations.
By strategically addressing tensions, he bridges divides between leadership priorities and public demands, reinforcing his role as a pragmatic negotiator.
