Release Nnamdi Kanu Now Protest, on Friday, paralyzed Aba, Enyimba City, the heartbeat of Abia State.
The massive demonstration took off from Uratta Road, to Port Harcourt Road, to Ngwa Road, passing through Milverton, to Okigwe Road to Umungasi and collapsing at Aba Town Hall.
Addressing the press on behalf of the Organizers — Voice from the East (V-East), the Secretary- General of V-East, Comrade Justice Ngwama, condemned the arrest of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
Comrade Ngwama emphasized that the arrest is shrouded in international gangsterism with Fulani-led Nigerian Government as the mastermind.
Some of the protesters carried placards with inscriptions such as:
- “Release Nnamdi Kanu Now”;
- “Nigeria kidnapped Kanu”;
- “We Don’t Want War, But Don’t Push Us to the Wall”;
- “Fulani herdsmen and bandits are the Terrorists, Not IPOB”;
- “Kanu is a Freedom Fighter, Not a Terrorist”, etc.
Similarly, yesterday, “Release Nnamdi Kanu Now Protest” rocked Enugu.
Residents massively demonstrated in the streets of Enugu against the arrest and incarceration of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB.
The protest took round Edinburgh Road to Obiagu through Ogui Road, to Main Market through Okpara Avenue and New Haven to Otigba Junction.

The protesters also placards with inscriptions seeking the release of Nnamdi Kanu, demanding for Referendum, asking for a sovereign state of Biafra, et al.
Speaking to the newsmen during the protest, the organizer, Comrade Kindness Jonah said that the protest became necessary since there is now, international and local outcry against the arrest.
According to Comrade Jonah, United Kingdom has questioned it.
“Kanu is a freedom fighter, not a terrorist,” he noted.
“He should be accorded all respects while the trial should be in an open court, not adjudicated by the religiously biased,” he added.
