Protesting women set ablaze paramount ruler’s house in Plateau
Protesting women have razed the house of the paramount ruler of Bokkos local government area of Plateau State, Mr Micheal Adanchi.
The incident reportedly happened around 12:30pm on Friday, January 5, 2024.
The women burned the house following the arrest of some members of the community for their alleged involvement in the recent killings in the area.
The traditional ruler’s residence and his administrative office were burned down.
Recall that about 23 villages were attacked on the Eve of Christmas, where more than 200 people were killed and hundreds of houses razed.
Yesterday, the police confirmed the arrest of eight persons in connection with the recent attacks.
Meanwhile, Plateau State police command is yet to issue a statement in respect to the attack on the traditional ruler’s home.
