Protest erupts in Ondo as terror herdsmen slaughter 8 farmers

Terrorist Fulani herdsmen kill over 36 people in Katsina Ala, Benue State

Residents of Ondo State took to the streets in a mass protest following the killing of eight farmers by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

The protest, which has drawn serious attention on social media, highlights growing frustration and fear among the farming communities.

A viral video sighted by News Band, captured the aggrieved residents waving leaves and chanting slogans.

Some protesters appeared shirtless, expressing their outrage over the recurrent attacks on their farmlands.

One of the protesters lamented the persistent threat posed by the herdsmen, stating, “Joy no dey. We go borrow money finish spend for farm, Fulani go come kill us join. Shey we no go chop? You take our life, rape our wife.”

Another protester confirmed that eight people had recently lost their lives to the violent attacks, further intensifying the community’s call for government intervention.

Meanwhile, many Nigerians have expressed their anger and demanded swift action from authorities to address the perennial security crisis.
