Contrary to President Buhari’s promise to sell that fleet of Presidential Jets, Buhari’s APC Federal Government has spent about N5.8bn unappropriated on the 10-aircraft Presidential Air Fleet it inherited from the former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
This in spite of Buhari’s alarm that the country is broke!
Nothing has changed. Continuation of impunity is the order of the day.
Where did President Buhari get this money from?
In a country with over 10.5 million children out of school courtesy Deputy Country Director of Action Aid, Ifeoma Charles and nothing is being done!
Did he borrow the money the way he told us he borrowed N27million Naira to purchase his Presidential nomination form under APC, because he was poor?
The same ‘poor’ President eventually declared assets worth over N3Bn, after much pressure, aside from his known assets undeclared believing they are hidden from the public.
Regrettably we now have two conflicting Assets declarations report cards on Mr President. The first assets declaration on his facebook handle and then the second published under pressure from his critics and political opponents!
Little things that matters!
Another breach of trust or lie or dishonesty on the part of president Muhammadu Buhari who promised not to accord recognition and officialdom to the First Lady’s office if elected is that Aisha Buhari only abandoned the nomenclature “First Lady”, preferring to be addressed simply as “Wife of the President”, which does not alter anything when as a matter of fact, she is effectively doing exactly the same thing as her predecessors.
We’re not so gullible to be cajoled or deceived.
The nomenclature “First Lady” and the title “Wife of the President” therefore becomes a distinction without a difference.
Her office, like it was under her predecessors, houses her staff members, including personal aides, security details and protocol officials, among others.

She has organised events similar to the ones that were not in short supply under her immediate predecessor, Mrs. Jonathan.
The first event organised by Mrs. Buhari was an elaborate “thank you dinner” she organised in honour of APC women and youths for supporting her husband’s election.
The President’s wife, during the recently concluded Ramadan, also broke her fast with some women leaders and the less privileged etc. Nothing has change!
Buhari’s APC ruling Party refuse or reneged from its campaign promise to pay N5,000.00 allowance for jobless youth (shouting sai Baba during his campaign) on the excuse that it is not in 2015 appropriation budget, yet President Buhari in June announced a bailout to the tune of N713 billion without appropriation.
That was to corrupt governors who mismanaged and looted their state treasuries to the detriment of their work force, thereby dignifying and rewarding looting.
Mismanagement, impunity, corruption and other vices as against his change mantra!
The instances of lies, deceit and false alarm on the part of President Buhari are legion and are a cause for concern.
This President is inconsistent and behaving like liar and dishonest President that cannot be taking for his words!!
Very sad development!!!
