Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has begged for more weapons to be delivered from Western partners, warning that his forces face a “very tough” situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic while claiming Moscow “wants the war to drag on.”

“There are constant Russian attacks. There are constant attempts to break through our defenses,” Zelensky said in his nightly video address.

His appeal for more lethal aid comes just days after Germany and the US agreed to supply modern tanks to the Kiev regime and a day after pressuring Washington to deliver long-range ATACMS missiles.
