PHOTOS: Tinubu govt arraigns malnourished minors who participated in hunger protests
Some minors who participated in the nationwide #EndBadGovernance protests in August, were seen in a disturbing condition upon arrival at the Federal High Court in Abuja for arraignment.
In a video sighted by NewsBand on Friday, some of the male protesters were seen looking malnourished and unkempt.
Some were also seen groaning on the floor as some persons brought them biscuits and bottled water.
Meanwhile, human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, has vehemently condemned president Bola Tinubu’s administration for making mockery of the criminal justice system following the arraignment of the minors.
He queried how Mr Tinubu’s government expect the international community and investors to take Nigeria serious, when they are parading minors before a court in the most dehumanizing conditions for participating in a peaceful protests.
Inibehe Effiong said, “The Tinubu regime is making a mockery of our criminal justice system. You expect the international community and investors to take Nigeria seriously, but you’re parading minors before a Federal High Court in the most dehumanizing conditions because they allegedly took part in protests. We cannot continue like this.”
