Kano State was agog today, as dignitaries from all walks of life attended the wedding Fatiha of the daughter of ex-governor of the state, Senator Rabi’u Kwankwaso.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Speaker of the House of Reps, Tajudeen Abbas and others graced the flamboyant ceremony.
The wedding fatiha which took place at the Kano Emir’s Palace was conducted by the Chief Imam of the city central mosque Prof. Sani Zahraddeen.
At the occasion, the Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf, gave Kwankwaso’s daughter, Dr Aishatu Kwankwaso’s hand in marriage to Fahad, the son of Katsina-based business mogul, Dahiru Mangal.
Also in attendance were former Senate President, Bukola Saraki and former governors of Kaduna, Akwa Ibom and Sokoto States, Ahmed Makarfi, Victor Attah and Aminu Tambuwal respectively.
Other dignitaries include Defense Minister, Abubakar Badaru, the son of late Head of State, Muhammad Sani Abacha and Major Hamza Al-Mustapha.

The wedding was also graced by traditional rulers from different parts of the country.
The sum of N1 million was given as the bride price. The groom also gifted another N1 million to the imams that performed the solemnization.
