Kogi Central Senatorial District is currently filled with a mammoth crowd of supporters of the suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

This is coming after Kogi State government banned all forms of rallies and public gatherings in the State.

Though, Natasha before now, had reiterated her commitment to visiting her constituency for the Sallah celebration despite the ban by the State government and the police.

In a statement issued earlier on Tuesday by her media office, the senator dismissed rumors that she had canceled her trip and urged her supporters to ignore such speculations.

“We are pleased to confirm that Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s Sallah visit to Kogi Central Senatorial District will proceed as planned,” the statement read.

“Despite circulating rumors, no official announcement has been made regarding the cancellation of this visit.”

While stressing her statutory responsibility to her constituents, Akpoti-Uduaghan encouraged her supporters to turn out in large numbers to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr with her.

“As the senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan remains dedicated to engaging with her community and fostering unity and cooperation.

“Her commitment to the people of Kogi Central is unwavering, and she looks forward to celebrating Eid-el-Fitr with her constituents.

“We assure the public that all necessary arrangements are in place for a successful and joyous event. We invite all community members to join us in marking this special occasion,” the statement added.

At the time of filing this report, some of the pictures obtained by News Band Newspaper, showed a large crowd of Senator Natasha’s constituents giving full support to the lawmaker.
