Following the withdrawal of the Super Eagles of Nigeria from their scheduled Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against war torn Libya, originally set for Tuesday by the Nigeria Football Federation, pictures of Super Eagles players sleeping in an abandoned Airport in the country, have emerged.

This is coming after the contingent spent over 13 hours stranded at Al-Abraq Airport after being denied entry into the country.

Despite prior clearance to land in Benghazi, Libyan authorities unexpectedly barred the team from entering, locking the airport gates and leaving the players without access to food, water, or communication.
