The Bishop of Canterbury, Reverend Justin Welby, yesterday offered a special prayer for the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, after his appearance at Chatham House.

Obi was at the international think-tink organization to discuss his vision for policy and governance reforms in Nigeria, including the priorities for tackling deep-rooted insecurity and corruption, and measures to promote social and political mobility for Nigerian citizens

The former governor of Anambra State through his official Facebook page said that he was received by the British cleric along side his entourage where a special prayer was offered for him and also for Nigeria.

He said, “I was honoured to be received together with my team by the Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Revd. Justin Welby yesterday evening. I’m especially grateful for his offer of a special evening prayer for me and for Nigeria.”
