The Rivers State Sole Administrator, retired Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas has appointed Commodore Aminu Shehu as Chief of Staff.
This is coming after he sworn in the new Secretary to the State Government, professor Ibibia Worikato on Wednesday.
The Administrator, during the event, also charged Worika to ensure that every policy, decision and action was in consonance with his administration’s mandate to restore law and order.
He urged him to ensure the stabilisation of the polity and the creation of the necessary conditions for the restoration of democratic institutions and representations in the state.
Meanwhile, Aminu Shehu in his new role, will coordinate the operations of the Governor’s office and assist in managing government affairs.
Shehu will oversee members of the State Executive Council and act as the Governor’s liaison with the state executive branch.
His duties include preparing the Governor’s daily schedule, organizing meetings, arbitrating disputes, and regulating access to the gubernatorial office
