Our attention has been drawn to cyber-attack being sponsored against Scannewsnigeria website by agents of Mr. Dakuku Peterside [above, right], a former member of the House of Representatives and Mr Davies Ikanya, embattled chairman of Rivers State APC.
The paid agents of these two politicians have also gone a step further to clone SCAN-News Facebook page, using our logo.
Preliminary investigations reveal that Mr Peterside and Davies Ikanya plan to use the cloned page to mislead Rivers people and other Nigerians about the activities of the state government and her officials. Already, the agents of these politicians are using the cloned page for political mischief.
The management of Scan Media Services Limited, publishers of www.scannewsnigeria.com and SCAN-News Facebook page hereby advises members of the public to disregard the contents of the cloned page with 51 followers as at the time of issuing this statement.

The management has also reported the matter to Facebook and we expect a quick resolution of the Criminal act by the discredited politicians and their agents.
We would have directed our lawyers to take legal action, but the present APC Federal Government has already hijacked the Judiciary and approaching the courts would be an exercise in futility.
