  • Victor Bala accused of disobeying Party national Chairman, Governor

  • Saturday Congress possibly never to hold

The supposed People’s Democracy Party (PDP) stakeholders meeting of Taraba state held in Gym Hall, Jolly Nyame stadium,Thursday evening ended in deadlock.

The stakeholders meeting which intended to martial out plans in preparation of Saturday’s Congress recorded poor turn out of critical party stakeholders from Abuja as a result of their flights being cancelled.

The Chairman, Mr Victor Bala while addressing few Party attendees was accused of sending them back to their Wards without addressing the issues that were raised in the petition in Abuja before national Chairman.

Bala, who repeatedly told Loyalists to go and hold Congress at their Wards/LGs without addressing same critical issues raised was said to be the main borne of contention.

While responding to his commends, the Federal Lawmaker representing the Gashaka, Kurmi and Sardauna Constituency, Hon David Abel Fuoh said there are unresolved burning issues they must tackle before going into proper Congress.

Other issues David raised stakeholders were excluded and already there is a concluded ward Congress list by some few stakeholders.

“Honestly, Sir, we are totally sidelined we have not been called for any stakeholders meeting until recently, thinking whether I have committed any crime.

“I think we must resolve pending issues before the Congress will properly take place,” David said

Our correspondent who was at the venue of the meeting reported that while Bala grabbed the phone from David, he could not respond to David’s comment rather in anger fumed:

“Are you here to threaten us? Why are you threatening?”

The meeting ended in deadlock without addressing the issues raised before the national party chairman.

Our reporter noted that all blames were pointing to the party Chairman, Victor who usurp all powers to himself while planning to bring in members at the detriment of other party stakeholders because of his 2023 Governorship ambition.

The investigation revealed that his arrogant behavior of disobeying even party official at the national level and the Governor, Arch Ishaku Darius may lead to polarization of PDP in the State and that will lead to serious party collapse.

One of the PDP loyalists, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Bala’s speech that everyone should go back to their individual wards was pretentious as he planted his boys to take over the party.

“If this party could not send this man (Bala) packing,I swear he will kill the party in the state.

“He is not being fair to all party stakeholders, only fair to himself because he wants to be the Governor, an office he is not qualified to hold.

“Even if there are no educated people in Taraba, I will never vote for this Man; he does not have the capacity to govern,” he said.
