The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party has however taken another dimension as plans to remove the National Chairman of the Party is under way.

Three governors of the opposition party, namely Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State are reportedly opposed to the National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus.

Elombahnews gathered that the plot to remove the chairman before the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting was part of moves to thwart his re-election at the party’s national convention, which is slated to hold in November 2021

Recall that many aggrieved members of the former ruling party had accused Uche Secondus of bastardizing the internal democracy in the party which culminated to mass defection of its members to All Progressives Congress (APC) and other parties

Though Secondus denied working against the interest of the party but has remain recalcitrant despite calls for him to step down as the National Chairman of the party
