Okpebholo nominates Oshiomhole’s son as health commissioner
The newly inaugurated Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has named Dr. Cyril Adams Oshiomhole, son of former Governor of the state, Adams Oshiomhole, as the Commissioner for Health-designate.
The nominee earned his Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and holds a Master’s degree in Public Health, specialising in environmental health, toxicology, and disaster management.
In a statement on Tuesday, Fred Itua, spokesman of the governor, also announced the nomination of Samson Osagie, a former national assembly member, for the role of attorney-general and commissioner for justice.
The governor stressed collaboration with the federal government and private sector to enhance development, promising support for small businesses, educational reform, and initiatives to connect unserved communities to the national power grid.
