Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has unveiled the giant multimillion Naira statute of the Liberian president, Mrs Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has unveiled the giant multimillion Naira statute of the Liberian president, Mrs Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.

Mrs Sirleaf’s statute is located at Ikemba Ojukwu Square, Owerri, the state capital.

Following the unveiling of the statute, Okorocha also presentation an award to her.

Describing the statute after the unveiling, Okorocha described the exercise thus:

“The Statue of the African Female Hero, the Liberian President Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf unveiled in Imo State.”

Elombbah.com had earlier in the day published some highlights of the Liberian President’s visit to Imo State.

Meanwhile, some Imo State citizens who spoke to Elombah.com expressed indignation at the statute, wondering what economic, political or social value the visit and the statute is to the state.

Recently, Okorocha also unveiled the statute of the South African president, Mr Jacob Zuma which reportedly cost N520 million.
