Ogun police command arrest two suspects for gang raping 19-year-old woman

Ogun State Police Command on December 16, 2020 arrested two suspects, Damilare Oyeniyi ‘m’ 30 years and Emmanuel Okori ‘m’ 20 years for gang raping a 19-year-old woman on December 12, 2020.

The suspects were arrested after a report was made at Sango Police Station by the victim who said that the suspects who are staying in the same compound with her dragged her into the apart of one of them, stripped her naked before taking turns to rape her.

Receiving the report, the DPO Sango Division CSP Godwin Idehai drafted some police detectives to go after the suspects who have taken to their hills and bring them to justice.

The investigative effort of the detectives paid off on December 16, 2020 when they were eventually arrested.

On interogation, the two suspects confessed committing the crime. They confessed running a video record of her while nude with which they used to coerce her not to report the incident or else the video will be posted on social media.

Meanwhile, the commissioner of Police CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun has ordered the immediate transfer of suspects to anti human trafficking and child labour unit of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and prosecution.
