There was crisis in Obosi, Idemili south LGA, venue the All Progressives Grand Alliance [APGA] House of Assembly primary election.

The disqualification of the major aspirants from Obosi including the son of the Igwe Obosi is causing ripples in the town. Obosi has the highest voting population in Idemili north and decides who wins election in the constituency.

According to our correspondent, Mr Eneh Victor Chigozie, the Obosi stakeholders’ forum had written to Governor Willie Obiano and APGA leadership warning them of the danger of the community losing out from the elective positions from the party.

According to Obosi stakeholders’ forum, they argued that since ndi Obosi agreed to support Hon Ibezi Ifeanyichukwu of APGA in sacrifice of their own son, Hon Obinna Chidoka of PDP that the APGA House of Assembly ticket must be given to an Obosi son.

They therefore warned that failure to do so, they will ask the Obosi town crier to take his gong and go round the town to inform ndi Obosi on they were shortchanged by APGA and tell them where to vote come 2019.

They are UNHAPPY that APGA disqualified Alex Ubaka and Tobenna Iweka from participating from today’s House of Assembly primaries.

Another Obosi group named Obiano Youth Movement has also written to Gov Obiano, condemning what they described as an insult on Obosi community by APGA and also warned that the party will lose if nothing urgent is done.

According to the letter signed by Hon Omezie Chukwurah popularly called Governor Obosi, he stated that ndi Obosi cannot be battling to support APGA for House of Reps election against their own son in PDP, while APGA disqualified competent Obosi sons to anoint one Hon Chiekwu Ifeanyi.

Meanwhile, AIF Media gathered that ndi Obosi said they will vote for Ibezi Ifeanyichukwu for Reps but will ensure APGA loses in the state Assembly election.

The tension in Obosi is high and APGA must watch it.

In another development in APGA, a group known as the Concerned Youths of Anambra south senatorial zone has taken to streets in Ekwulobia protesting what they called injustice and wickedness of APGA leaders in the handling of the party primaries.

The protesting youths said APGA has disappointed them and demanded the cancellation of all the primaries done so far.

They also demanded that the APGA leadership allow a free and fair primary election or face total rejection in the general election.

They said the House of Representatives primaries and the ongoing senate primaries are sham.
