Former Anambra State Secretary to the State Government [SSG] and 2017 governorship aspirant in the forthcoming Anambra gubernatorial election, Mr Oseloka H. Obaze was at UNIZIK FM on Saturday.
While appearing on the programme political digest, Mr Oseloka H. Obaze spoke on an array of political issues.
On the revenue accruing to Anambra, he stated authoritatively that funds disbursed by the federal government to states, including Anambra fell from N6.3 trillion in 2015 to N5.3 trillion in 2017, representing a shortfall of only 20 %.
For Anambra, that amounted to some N700 million in the overall shortfall.
Meanwhile, over the same period, Anambra IGR rose from N500 million monthly to N1.3 billion monthly.
Consequently, Obaze said it was factually wrong to claim that the Anambra State government presently has less funds to work with.
Mr Obaze will be contesting under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] in the election.
