At the age of 39, he became the Military Head of State for Nigeria. When he was 62, he assumed office as the democratically elected president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

By the time he was 70, he handed over power to late Umaru Musa Yar’dua who, like HE Peter Obi, left money in state coffers for the man that succeeded him as the governor of Katsina State.

Armed with seven-point agenda for the positive development of Nigeria, late Yar’dua worked so well to transform dear country. But his good development efforts were unfortunately terminated by death.

The point remains that, when it comes to spotting a visionary leader best fit to take the mantle of leadership for the betterment of Nigerians, give it to Chief Olusegun Aremu Matthew Obasanjo.

His letter to all Nigerians, particularly young Nigerians wherein he expressed his choice of candidate for the 2023 presidential election must be given due respect and deserved acceptance.

Yes, we must agree with his choice. We must give due respect to the ‘last’ wishes of the octogenarian.

The Labour Party presidential candidate, HE Peter Obi whom he has endorsed among the major contestants shall, by the power of our thumb on February 25th and the grace of God as He willed, assume office as the next democratically elected president and Commander-in-Chief of the FRN wherein, just like late Yar’dua, implement his visionary and feasible seven-point agenda for the good of all Nigerians living in Nigeria and living in Diaspora.
