The spokesman of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Comrade Emma Powerful has reiterated that there is no sit-at-home on Monday and Tuesday in the South East region.

The IPOB Media and Publicity Secretary made the clarification in a statement made available to News.band over the weekend.

Emma Powerful drew attention to a “fabricated statement being circulated by mischief makers and paid agents of darkness that IPOB had directed Biafrans to sit-at-home Monday, October 18; Tuesday, October 19; and Thursday, October 21 for our leader, and One year anniversary of #EndSARS protest.”

He made it categorically clear that the purported statement did not emanate from IPOB and completely dissociated the group from such falsehood.

He said: “IPOB did not issue any sit-at-home except on October 21 when our leader is expected to appear in court.

“We therefore, urge members of the public to ignore the purported statement and utter falsehood being peddled by paid agents of government to create confusion and demarket IPOB.

“Their intension is to portray IPOB as violent and insensitive movement but we know their antics, and shall beat them to it.

“For the sake of clarity, IPOB has not called for any sit-at-home except on Thursday, October 21 when our Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will appear in court in Abuja.

“Biafrans will solidarise with him by staying indoors on that day because we are all in the struggle together. He did nothing to deserve any persecution by the federal government.”

He, therefore, seriously warned all those behind this rumour to retrace their steps and stop tarnishing the image of IPOB.

“As a responsible and responsive movement, we stopped Monday Sit-at-homes in the interest of our people.

“When we discovered that hooligans and paid agents of death wanted to hijack the opportunity to unleash mayhem on our people are cleverly blame it on IPOB, we stopped it.

“So, anybody sitting at home on Mondays does so out of one’s volition and not on the orders of IPOB,” he noted.

He also urge the general public to ignore the fake news that IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been taken away by foreign government.

According to him, that is another lie from the pit of hell.

IPOB has no business with INEC

In another development, Comrade Emma Powerful distanced IPOB from dealing with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over the forthcoming Anambra governorship election.

Following a statement from INEC that it is coming to negotiate or dialogue with IPOB over the election, he said IPOB has no business with INEC.

The IPOB scribe, in a statement said:

“IPOB family worldwide doesn’t know whether or not INEC exists.

“We have nothing to do with the election INEC is conducting, and we wonder why INEC would want to drag us into the election.

“INEC should face what is facing it and leave IPOB alone. We didn’t dialogue with Nigeria government let alone INEC.”

Regarding police statement to deploy 33,000 personnel and 8 helicopters, he said:

“We found laughable the declaration by the Nigeria police that they are coming to Anambra State governorship elections on 6th of November with 33,000 personnel and 8 helicopters to kill Igbo citizens on that day.

“This statement from Fulani-controlled police IGP shows how prepared they are to kill our people and also a clear indication that Nigerian police and the Fulani cabal do not want the election in Anambra to hold.

“We also want to place on record that the plan by the Nigerian police to deploy over 33,000 police and three helicopters, among others, to Anambra State for the November 6 governorship election, is another ploy to kill more innocent Biafrans.

“This confirms our fears and earlier intelligence that the Fulani-controlled security agents have perfected plans to use the election to force more Biafra youths to their early grave.”

He, therefore, advised Biafrans in the state to be very cautious of this wicked plot and don’t play into their hands.
