Nigerians Lambast FG For Begging Ventilators From Tesla, As FG Swiftly Deletes Tweet

The Federal Government of Nigerians has deleted the tweet where if was literally begging ventilators from electric cars, batteries and solar giant, Tesla, in the fight against Coronavirus [Covid-19].

The Federal Government had responded to a tweet by Tesla chief, Elon Musk @elonmusk where he tweeted offering “extra FDA-approved ventilators” to any interested party:

“We have extra FDA-approved ventilators. Will ship to hospitals worldwide within Tesla delivery regions. Device & shipping cost are free.

“Only requirement is that the vents are needed immediately for patients, not stored in a warehouse. Please me or @Tesla know.”

In reaction, the federal government, through the Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning Twitter handle, @FinMinNigeria, begged:

“@Tesla, Federal Government of Nigeria needs support with 100-500 ventilators to assist with #Covid19 cases arising every day in Nigeria.”
