Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)

For members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in diaspora, all roads lead to Houston, Texas, USA, this weekend for the Saturday, August 4th official inauguration of their organization, PDP Diaspora Initiative (PDI).

“PDI is a registered non-profit organization, headquartered in the United States of America, and composed of people of Nigerian descent living in all parts of the world,” PDI Founder and National Chair Hon. Victoria Pamugo said.

“What brings all of us together from various countries is our desire for a better, safer and more prosperous Nigeria, where opportunities abound for every hardworking citizen,” Hon. Pamugo said.

PDI was formed as a hands-on organization and its primary mandate is to educate the Nigerian electorate regarding the power they have through their votes, their civic obligations and expectations.

“In spite of our increasing economic contributions to our homeland, we have no say in shaping the political future of our country.

“This has to change and that is why we have come together as a body to give our people a voice and contribute to building a better future for Nigeria,” PDI National Publicity Secretary Dr. Chidi Igwe said.

“President Buhari and his APC have taken our country in a wrong direction and all Nigerians, both home and abroad, must join hands to stop them,” Hon. Pamugo said.

The event program includes several engaging meetings, investiture of PDI officers, other official business of the organization and a gala dinner. Media are invited to attend this event which will take place beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Mehfil Hall, 14617 Beechnut Street, Houston, Texas, USA!
