Nigeria hunter and forestry security services calls for credible LG polls in Anambra

Ahead of Saturday’s Local Government Election in Anambra State, Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Services (NHFSS) Anambra command, has called for a free and credible election.
The call was made by the commander of NHFSS, Mr Destiny E. Jonas on Wednesday.
He assured voters and all participants in the Local Government elections slated for 28 September 2024, of adequate security and hitch-free election across the State.
While addressing newsmen at their State Headquarters in Amawbia, Awka South LGA, the NHIFSS commander said that more than one thousand of their operatives would be deployed across the 21 local governments in Anambra State precisely to work with the police and other security agencies towards ensuring credible polls, devoid of violence and intimidation.
Similarly, Mr. Destiny appealed to royal fathers in Anambra State as well as all the Presidents General of town unions of the 177 communities, to assist in sensitizing the youths to avoid any possible breakdown of law and order.
According to him, the traditional rulers and PGs are important stakeholders in ensuring a free and fair election on Saturday, in Anambra State.
Speaking further, Destiny commended the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission (ANSIEC) as well as His Excellency, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo (CFR), the Executive Governor of Anambra State, for providing the necessary logistics that will help in making the election a reality for the first time in over 10 years.
