Following the controversy surrounding the death of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, aka Mohbad, Fresh FM 106.9 FM, a privately owned radio broadcast station in Ekiti State, has banned the airplay of all songs and content under the banner of Naira Marley’s Marlian Records till further notice.

This latest development was disclosed in a statement signed by its Head of production and Music Content, Oluwaseunfunmi Williams.

Part of the statement reads, “Fresh 106.9 fm has suspended the airplay of all songs and contents under the banner of Marlian Records,” it said.

“This action comes in response to the public outcry from the general public trailing the death of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (Mohbad), the alleged victimization from different videos going viral, and the involvement of members of his previous record label (Marlian records)”.

Similarly, Splash FM 105.5 located in Ibadan, yesterday, banned the playing of songs by Naira Marley, citing the ongoing investigation into the circumstance that led to the death of Mohbad.

Mohbad last week died at the age of 27 under mysterious circumstances.
