According to DW Africa editors, there is possible military coup underway in Mali and the ring leader of the coup is touted to be Colonel Sadio Camara.
DW Africa reports that several high-ranking politicians and officials in Mali have been kidnapped, including Finance Minister Abdoulaye Daffe and the National Guard’s chief of staff.
DW Africa also said that the national broadcaster, ORTM, has been evacuated. According to ORTM employees as reported by DW Africa, “a group of possible coup-leaders should be on their way to the station”.
