Lawyer drags Police DPO—Jawi Mohammed to PSC, accuses him of notoriety, abuse of office, harassment, intimidation, partiality

A legal practitioner, Max Ogar, Esq. has dragged the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of New Karshi Police Division, CSP Jawi Mohammed to the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), accusing him of notoriety, abuse of office, harassment, intimidation, partiality and waging a war against him in favour of Alhaji Sani Mohammadu Bako and Mr. Danladi Karshi

Complaining about the alleged “unprofessional conduct of CSP Mohammed”, Mr. Ogar stated that since 22nd February, 2022, the police chief “behaved in a manner inconsistent with a professional Policeman of his standing and office”.

He narrated how the trio of Alhaji Sani Mohammadu Bako, Danladi Karshi and Paul Ibrahim invaded an estate called Cajaah Estate in New Karshi, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State near Orozo, in company of Police personnel, Vigilante Group and thugs numbering about sixty.

The men, he said, came under the guise of enforcing an order of the Federal High Court, Lafia, and in the process attacked staff and pupils of his school in the vicinity.

According to an audio message received by News Band, the DPO threatened to ‘deal with him’ when he reached out to him for arbitration, which prompted the petition.

Reacting to the action of the DPO of New  Karshi Police Division, CSP Jawi Mohammed, an investigator with Eagles Eyes Transparency International said that he is “nothing but an intimidator, a harasser of patriotic Nigerians, a war wager for his task payers”, confirming that he heard his voices where he threatened to deal with legal luminary.

He said: “In our entire life of Investigative journalism, we have never seen a police man in this manner before.

“He is highly influenced by one Alhaji Sani Mohammed Bako and Danladi Karshi.

“The notorious DPO is so power drunk and highly ignorant of the Rule of the laws. His ignorance is so high that he doesn’t know what is a court order.”

He, therefore, called on the Inspector General of Police, the PSC and the Nasarawa police Command to quickly review and check the posting of the DPO.

He said there is a need for his medical status to be ascertained before he kills innocent Nigerians.

“He is always under the influence of either alcohol or substance. He has bragged to deal with a legal counsel Max Ogar.

“We don’t know what that “I will deal with you” portends. We are calling on the IGP & PSC to address the rascality of this irate police officer.

“He is an epitome of disgrace to the meaningful reforms we are witnessing in the face of IGP Baba Alkali ongoing.

“We pray that he is properly investigated before he turns to another super criminal cop,” he added.
