Lagos election violence: I saw Sanwo-Olu come out with thugs, order them to attack polling units in Lagos — Tee Mac
A popular Nigerian flutist with cross-cultural Itsekiri and Swiss roots and former President of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Dr. Tee Mac Omatshola Iseli, has said that he saw Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, come out with thugs on the governorship election day which took place on March 18, 2023.
Dr. Iseli, generally called Tee Mac by friends and close associates, made the allegation during an interview on Arise News Television programme, “Morning Show”, on Tuesday.
Tee Mac noted that Governor Sanwo-Olu personally ordered the thugs to attack certain polling units in Lagos, especially in areas believed to be dominated by Igbos.
According to him, on that fateful day, he saw Sanwo-Olu surrounded by several people believed to be thugs when he came to vote.
After voting, he saw him giving them instructions and he sent one of his boys to go closer and get the details of the instructions.
Upon return, the messenger narrated that Sanwo-Olu was instructing them on where to go and disrupt the elections and where to unleash mayhem after which he left.
The popular Nigerian musician condemned the atrocities perpetrated by the Lagos State Governor, the Deputy Governor, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, and other politicians who orchestrated the evil during the election, especially the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He vowed to provide all manner of evidence in court, including video and pictures, to show the world the unprecedented evils perpetrated by the All Progressives Congress and the Lagos State Government.
Recall that News Band reported on July 28, 2022, that Tee Mac has condemned Tinubu over his presidential ambition.
According to the report, Tee Mac said that Tinubu was 86 years old and with the mysteries surrounding his person, is not qualified to be elected as Nigeria’s president.
The former President of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) asked Nigerians not to vote for Tinubu while reacting to a Facebook post by one Yemi Olakitan.
He said Tinubu is 86 years old, not healthy enough and has many unanswered questions about his age, background and how he made his money.
He said: “Tinubu is my in-law. His wife Remi is my cousin. Her Itsekiri mother and my Itsekiri mother are sisters.
“I have known Tinubu since the mid 1980s personally and even arranged for him to stay in my stepfather’s house (Sir Mobolaji Bank-Anthony) in London when he went into exile.
“I stopped supporting him and stopped family visits, etc. when he sold that (President Muhammadu) Buhari to the nation in 2015.
“My advice to the nation is that this man is absolutely not qualified to become our next president,” he concluded.
In another development, the Indigenous People of Niger Delta (IPND) have condemned Yorubas for the violence they unleashed against the South East and South South people during the Lagos governorship election.
Speaking in a statement, the President General of IPND, Tiemo Pumokumo, ‘condemned the act of barbarism by some political elements from Yoruba tribe’, describing it as an act of war.
He called on the Government of Nigeria and the International Communities, most especially the EU, USA, Government of Canada, UK Government etc. to intervene before it is too late.
